From Scotland and the North of England
(M6-M56-A55-A470)
Follow the M6 (north or south bound) as far as Junction 20a, which is the junction of the M6 and M56. Exit at J20a onto the M56 westbound following the signs for North Wales. Continue to the end of the M56, which then merges into the A5117, again following the signposts for North Wales. Continue along the A5117, which in turn merges into A494 and then onto the A55 Expressway westbound, signposted for Conwy. N.B. From the end of the M56 onto the A55 Expressway you do not turn off the main carriageway. It is a series of seamless road merges.Travel along the A55 Expressway for approximately 30 miles, passing Rhyl and Colwyn Bay. Approximately 2 miles after passing Colwyn Bay exit the A55 at Junction 19, signposted for Llandudno (A470). Follow the A470 into Llandudno until you pass Asda, which will be on your left. Follow the road around to the left into Vaughan Street. Continue into Augusta Street and past the railway station (on your left) until you reach a set of traffic lights. At the lights, turn left into Trinity Avenue. Buile Hill is approximately 200 yards on your right at the junction with St Mary’s Road.
From the South of England
(M1/M6-M54-A5-A470)
If you are travelling up from the Midlands or the south of England you can either follow the directions above, or take a more scenic (but slower!) route up through Wales. To do this, follow the M6 as far as Junction 10a, which is the junction of the M6 and M54. Exit at J10a onto the M54 westbound (you can’t go eastbound!). Follow the M54 for its entire length until it merges into the A5, just west of Telford. Follow the A5 as it climbs steadily north past Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Llangollen and all the way to Betws-y-Coed. Then pick up the A470, signposted for Conwy and Llandudno. Follow the A470 into Llandudno until you pass Asda, which will be on your left. Follow the road around to the left into Vaughan Street. Continue into Augusta Street and past the railway station (on your left) until you reach a set of traffic lights. At the lights, turn left into Trinity Avenue. Buile Hill is approximately 200 yards on your right at the junction with St Mary’s Road.
N.B. Please allow sufficient time if you choose this route. It is very beautiful, especially as you progress further into Wales, but it is not a motorway route!

From Ireland by sea then car
(A55-A470)
Both Stena Line and Irish Ferries operate regular high speed ferry services to Holyhead from Dublin. Once in Holyhead, if travelling by car, pick up the A55 Expressway Eastbound until you pass through the main Conwy Tunnel. Ignore the first exit after this, which is actually for Llandudno Junction. Instead, continue on and leave the A55 at Junction 19, signposted for Llandudno (A470). Follow the A470 into Llandudno until you pass Asda, which will be on your left. Follow the road around to the left into Vaughan Street. Continue into Augusta Street and past the railway station (on your left) until you reach a set of traffic lights. At the lights, turn left into Trinity Avenue. Buile Hill is approximately 200 yards on your right at the junction with St Mary’s Road.
By train, plane or coach
There is a train station in Llandudno, which is a short (5 minute) walk from Buile Hill. Please check with your travel agent for further details, or visit the following websites:

The nearest Airport is Liverpool Airport (0871 521 8484), which is approximately an hour away. Alternatively, Manchester Airport (0871 271 0711) is approximately an hour and a half from Llandudno. If you are travelling by car from either of these Airports please follow the ‘Scotland and North of England’ instructions above.
